A “Garlic Lovers” garlic. Prized for its mild flavor and ease of peeling. Its flavor is well developed without any bitterness, adding a rich and robust taste to recipes. Its slightly spicy flavor is hot when raw and sweet roasted. A favorite of chefs because it holds up well to other strong flavors. A perfect addition to soups, sauces, stir-fries, marinades, rubs, dips, and many dishes. It is a large Italian Heirloom variety with white wrappers and eye-catching rose-colored cloves. Brought back to Canada by Al Music in the 1980s from his homeland of Italy. Produces very large bulbs, an average of 5 – 6 cloves/bulb. It stores well.
