Chesnok Red Garlic

Vivid purple stripes line the wrappers of the bulb and cloves of this hardneck heirloom variety producing between 8-12 large easy to peel cloves.  It is rated highly for roasting, baking, sauteing, and all-around use in the kitchen, as it retains its shape and milder flavor.  Great for eggs, soups, stews, and meats.  When roasted the garlic becomes incredibly sweet and when eaten raw it has a medium not too overpowering garlic flavor, perfect in olive oil and salad dressings.
